Landscape Design & Arborist Consulting in Kitsap County & Bainbridge Island
Lloyd Landwright provides residential landscape design, independent arborist consulting, and ongoing site guidance throughout Kitsap County, Bainbridge Island, and the greater West Sound — including Poulsbo, Silverdale, Seabeck, Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton, and Manette.
I'm Ashley Lloyd — landscape designer and ISA Certified Arborist, and the founder of Lloyd Landwright. My approach is rooted in ecology, artistry, and long-term care. Each project is shaped with precision and intention, whether designing a new landscape, refining a mature garden, or stewarding the health of trees.
Consultations & First Steps
Every project begins with a paid on-site consultation, which I call the Site Study. This first step allows me to walk the land with you directly, listen to your goals, and share professional insight tailored to your site.
What to Expect:
- Site walk-through and discussion of key areas
- Dialogue about goals, challenges, and opportunities
- High-level observations on planting, layout, or tree care considerations
- Guidance on next steps—from thoughtful refinements to a larger collaboration
For design projects, the Site Study is the first step of the design process. For tree assessments, the consultation itself is the service—an independent evaluation guided by ISA and TRAQ standards. For pruning, I may begin with a call and photos, but an on-site visit ensures the most thoughtful outcome.
It can stand alone as a useful check-in, or lead to a deeper collaboration.
Site Study Fee: $250 This is a paid, on-site consultation. It does not include drawings or a design plan. Design work, if appropriate, is proposed separately.
This consultation does not include drawings, plans, or design documents.
Landscape & Garden Design
Residential Landscape & Garden Design
I offer residential landscape design throughout Kitsap County and the greater West Sound — including Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, Gig Harbor, Seabeck, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Bremerton, and Manette. I create gardens that feel both natural and deeply considered. Rooted in ecological design principles and inspired by the Pacific Northwest, my work emphasizes naturalistic planting design, seasonal rhythm, and the sculptural presence of trees. Each garden is tailored to its site—whether it's a woodland shade garden on Bainbridge Island, a waterfront property in Gig Harbor, a hillside garden in Poulsbo, or a residential lot in Bremerton or Manette.—and evolves gracefully over time.
The Site Study consultation is always the first step, offering clarity before moving into design drawings, planting palettes, and phased implementation. My goal is to shape landscapes that balance beauty, habitat, and a deep sense of place.
I design with restraint and intention, favoring gardens that feel calm, immersive, and lived-in rather than highly manicured or over-controlled. My work embraces naturalistic structure and seasonal change, with discreet interventions—such as subtle, site-sensitive lighting—that enhance how a space is experienced without overwhelming it or its surrounding ecology.
Many clients come to me knowing they want something different, even if they can’t quite name it yet. I design gardens that feel rich, relaxed, and alive — places that evolve over time, reward attention, and don’t rely on rigid formality or constant control to feel beautiful.
Consulting Arborist Services
As an ISA Certified Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), I provide independent arborist consultations including tree risk assessments for residential clients throughout Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island. My evaluations address tree health, tree risk assessments, structure, and safety, and follow ANSI and ISA standards.
Because I work as a consulting arborist, not a tree removal contractor, my role is to give clear, unbiased guidance that supports preservation, safety, and long-term planning. Whether you’re concerned about a mature specimen, planning a new build, or seeking peace of mind about your property, I offer thoughtful, professional insight tailored to your site.

Ongoing Site Guidance
Ongoing Site Guidance is a long-term, advisory way of working together — focused on helping landscapes evolve thoughtfully over time. These visits are centered on observation, decision-making, and refinement: assessing what’s working, adjusting what isn’t, and supporting informed choices as the site changes seasonally and over years.
This work is best suited to clients who value continuity, expert perspective, and a measured approach to care, rather than one-time fixes or routine maintenance.
Selective Pruning & Plant Stewardship
I offer selective, targeted pruning carried out only where it meaningfully supports the landscape’s long-term health and design intent. This work is limited in scope and offered as part of an ongoing advisory relationship — not routine maintenance or general upkeep.
Seasonal Container Design for Restaurants & Hospitality
I work with a small number of restaurants and hospitality spaces to create seasonal container arrangements that reflect the same care and intention as my residential work. This is not off-the-shelf planting — each container is designed for the specific entrance, terrace, or space, and changes with the season.
This service is offered selectively and priced accordingly.
