Landscape Design & Arborist Consulting in Kitsap County & Bainbridge Island

I’m Ashley Lloyd—landscape designer and ISA Certified Arborist, and the founder of Lloyd Landwright. Based on the Kitsap Peninsula, I offer ecological garden design, independent arborist consultations, and specialty pruning of ornamental trees and shrubs. I work with residential clients across Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, and the greater West Sound.

My approach is rooted in ecology, artistry, and long-term care. Each project is shaped with precision and intention, whether designing a new landscape, refining a mature garden, or stewarding the health of trees.

Consultations & First Steps

Every project begins with a paid on-site consultation, which I call the Site Study. This first step allows me to walk the land with you directly, listen to your goals, and share professional insight tailored to your site.

What to Expect:

  • - Site walk-through and discussion of key areas

  • - Dialogue about goals, challenges, and opportunities

  • - Initial thoughts on planting, layout, or tree care approaches

  • - Guidance on next steps—from thoughtful refinements to a larger collaboration

For design projects, the Site Study is the first step of the design process. For tree assessments, the consultation itself is the service—an independent evaluation guided by ISA and TRAQ standards. For pruning, I may begin with a call and photos, but an on-site visit ensures the most thoughtful outcome.

Whether it remains a one-time consultation or grows into a longer collaboration, the Site Study offers clarity and direction on its own.

Landscape Design

Residential Landscape & Garden Design

I offer landscape design in Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island, creating gardens that feel both natural and deeply considered. Rooted in ecological design principles and inspired by the Pacific Northwest, my work emphasizes naturalistic planting design, seasonal rhythm, and the sculptural presence of trees. Each garden is tailored to its site—whether it’s a woodland shade garden on Bainbridge Island, a waterfront garden in Poulsbo, or a sunlit courtyard in Silverdale—and evolves gracefully over time.

The Site Study consultation is always the first step, offering clarity before moving into design drawings, planting palettes, and phased implementation. My goal is to shape landscapes that balance beauty, habitat, and a deep sense of place.

Consulting Arborist Services

As an ISA Certified Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), I provide independent arborist consultations and tree risk assessments for residential clients throughout Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island. My evaluations address tree health, structure, and safety, and follow ANSI and ISA standards.

Because I work as a consulting arborist, not a tree removal contractor, my role is to give clear, unbiased guidance that supports preservation, safety, and long-term planning. Whether you’re concerned about a mature specimen, planning a new build, or seeking peace of mind about your property, I offer thoughtful, professional insight tailored to your site.

Specialty Pruning of Ornamental Trees & Shrubs

I offer specialty pruning in Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island, focusing on ornamental trees and shrubs such as Japanese maples, multi-stem ornamentals, and structural shrubs. Pruning is both a science and an art: each cut is made with respect for the plant’s natural form, health, and character.

Through fine pruning, I reveal structure, enhance beauty, and support long-term vitality. While some pruning jobs can begin with photos and a call, I often recommend a Site Study consultation to see plants in context and ensure the best outcome.
